If you’re Appy and You Know it…

E-books?

Search the Catalog?app image

Track my reading?

Yes! There is an app for that!

Our online catalog isn’t exactly mobile friendly but you can search for library books, dvds and all our other fantastic resources with an app called LibAnywhere available for iPhone and Android devices.  It’s free and and easy to set up.  Here’s how:  Browse all Libraries – Select United States, and then West Virginia, then Mountain Library Network and lastly the Summersville Public Library for your home library and you’re all set.  Never get caught wondering ‘if the library has that?’ ever again.

If you use Chrome as your browser there is a super cool extension that will search our catalog for you while you shop Amazon or Barnes and Noble.  Seriously, it doesn’t get any better.  You can even click on it and place a hold! Mind blown, I know.  You can download it here.  Coming Soon! for Firefox too.

If you prefer your reading or listening materials on the digital side try out the Overdrive app to borrow a few of our nearly 70,000 items on WV-READS.  The app is available for iPhones, iPads and Android devices.  There are step by step instructions available under the “E-Books” tab on our website. Did I mention it’s free? The app and the books! Double-score!!

Are you part of our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program? Well you should be and to make it even easier to track your progress download the free app by the same name from the iPhone or Android app stores.

Confused? Need help? Bring in your device (psst…don’t forget your password too) and we will be glad to help you out.
